Number Line नंबर लाइन 🐸

Smaller numbers on the left, bigger numbers on the right. Less and more made visible, for ages 4 to 7, in English and हिंदी.

Why a number line

"Less" and "more" are hard words because you cannot point at them. A number line fixes that. Every number has its own place, smaller numbers are always on the left and bigger numbers are always on the right. So "less than 5" stops being an idea and becomes a place your child can see and touch: everything to the left of 5.

In this game a frog sits on one number in the middle. The numbers on its left are less. The numbers on its right are more. At first a little staircase of blocks stands above each number, so your child can also see that 7 really is more than 4.

Five levels, one idea at a time

  1. Numbers in a line (लाइन में नंबर). Find a number. Find the missing number.
  2. Less and more (कम और ज़्यादा). "Tap a number less than 5." Any number on the correct side is right.
  3. Left or right? (बाएँ या दाएँ?). A number card appears: does it go on the left of the frog or on the right? Later only the frog's number is written on the line, so your child has to think it through.
  4. One more, one less (एक ज़्यादा, एक कम). The frog hops one step right or one step left.
  5. All mixed up (सब मिलाकर).

Each level starts with 0 to 5, moves to 0 to 10 after a round done alone, and then to a stretch of numbers up to 20. If a round is hard, the game goes back a step and shows it again.

Built for children with ADHD, autism and late speech

  • No reading and no speaking needed. Every line is spoken, in English or Hindi, and every answer is a tap.
  • The same picture every time. One line, one frog, less on the left, more on the right. Nothing else changes.
  • Two colors as a clue. The "less" side is blue and the "more" side is orange, with arrows and words as well, so color is never the only clue.
  • No timers, no scores, no lives. A wrong tap gets "Let's look again" and the answer is shown.
  • Calm mode removes movement. No ads, no account, no tracking.

Tips for parents and teachers

🗣 One rule, same words. "Less is on the left. More is on the right." Say it the same way every time.
🦘 Jump it. Draw a number line with chalk on the floor and let your child be the frog: one more, one less.
🍪 Real things. "You have 3 cookies. I have 5. Who has more?" Then find 3 and 5 on the line.

Common questions

What age is the Number Line game for?

Ages 4 to 7, and older children who are still unsure which number is bigger. It suits children with ADHD, autism or late speech because nothing has to be read or said aloud.

How do I teach my child less than and more than?

Use a number line. Put one number in the middle and show that every number on its left is less and every number on its right is more. Start with 0 to 5, use the same words each time, and let your child place numbers on the correct side. The game follows exactly these steps.

Why do smaller numbers go on the left?

It is the way number lines, rulers and most school books are drawn, so learning it early makes later math easier. Keeping the direction the same every time also gives children one steady picture to hold on to.

Which numbers does it use?

It starts with 0 to 5, then 0 to 10, then a stretch of eleven numbers anywhere up to 20. The game moves on by itself after a round your child does alone, and steps back if a round was hard.

Does it teach the signs < and >?

No. The signs come later at school. This game builds the idea underneath them: which number is less, which is more, and where each one lives on the line.

Does it work in Hindi?

Yes. Tap हिंदी and every sentence is spoken and shown in Hindi, for example "5 से कम नंबर दबाओ". It uses your device's Hindi voice.

Is it free?

Yes. No ads, no account and no email. Progress is saved only in this browser on this device.
