How the game works
Children learn the name of a thing by hearing it, clearly and many times, while looking at that thing. In India there are very few calm, ad-free games that do this in Hindi, so we made one.
- Hear the names. A big picture appears and the helper says "यह दूध है।" and then just "दूध". Four words in a round.
- Touch and hear. Your child can tap any picture to hear its name again, as often as they like.
- Find it. "दूध कहाँ है?" Two pictures at first, then three, then four.
There are nine sets of eight words: रसोई, घर, आँगन और आसमान, जानवर, कपड़े, मेरा शरीर, गाड़ियाँ, फल और सब्ज़ी, मेरी चीज़ें. The words are the ones a child hears in an Indian home: रोटी, थाली, बाल्टी, गमला, पौधा, ऑटो, बस्ता. This is its own game, not a translation of the English one.
यह खेल बच्चों को रोज़ की चीज़ों के नाम हिंदी में सिखाता है। पहले नाम सुनो: "यह दूध है।" फिर ढूँढो: "दूध कहाँ है?" बच्चे को बोलना नहीं पड़ता, बस सुनना और छूना है। देर से बोलने वाले बच्चों, ADHD और ऑटिज़्म वाले बच्चों के लिए बनाया गया है।
Why it suits late talkers
- Understanding comes before speaking. The game asks your child to point, not to talk. It never listens to them.
- The same short sentence every time. "यह कुत्ता है।" A steady pattern is easier to take in.
- The word on its own, too. After the sentence comes the single word, slowly.
- No timers, no scores, no wrong-answer sounds. A miss gets "फिर से देखते हैं" and the answer is shown.
- Calm mode removes movement. No ads, no account, no tracking.
This game is practice, not therapy. If you are worried about your child's speech, talk to your pediatrician or a speech and language therapist.

Common questions
What age is यह क्या है? for?
Ages 2 to 6, and older children who are building first Hindi words, including late talkers and children with ADHD or autism. Nothing has to be read or said aloud.
Is this a translation of the English game?
No. It is a separate game with its own Hindi word list, chosen for Indian homes: दूध, पानी, रोटी, थाली, बाल्टी, गमला, पौधा, ऑटो, बस्ता and more. The sentences are natural Hindi, such as "यह दूध है" and "ये जूते हैं".
How does it help a child with a speech delay?
It models the name of each thing in the same short sentence and then asks the child to find it by pointing. Understanding words usually comes before saying them, so the game builds that first. It is practice at home, not a replacement for speech therapy.
Does my child have to say the words?
No. The game never listens and never asks for a spoken answer. Many children start to say the words on their own after hearing them often.
What if my phone has no Hindi voice?
The game uses your device's built-in Hindi voice. Most Android phones and iPhones have one. If yours does not, the game tells you, and the pictures and words still appear so you can say them yourself.
Can my child watch a video of each thing?
Only if a grown-up switches it on in the 👪 screen. Each word then gets a small button that opens a YouTube search in a new tab. It is off by default because YouTube shows ads and suggests other videos.
Is it free?
Yes. No ads, no account and no email. Progress is saved only in this browser on this device.
